Janelle
Janelle is a Nationally Certified Massage Therapist and licensed in Washington, DC (license no. MT1011). She holds a B.A. in Graphic Design from Rochester Institute of Technology in Rochester, NY. She is also a graduate of the National Massage Therapy Institute of Falls Church, VA where she completed a vigorous 500-hour program.
Janelle specializes in Swedish and deep tissue massage and aspires to take on a new specialty. She is also fluent in American Sign Language and is a member of the American Massage Therapy Association (AMTA). She recently attended the AMTA National Convention where she acquired additional skills in acupressure and Neurostructural Integration Technique.
Sandy
Sandy is a Nationally Certified Massage Therapist and is licensed in Washington, DC (license no. MT1230). She is a graduate of the Baltimore School of Massage where she completed an intensive 500-hour massage therapy program. Sandy is an active member of the American Massage Therapy Association.
Prior to her massage career, Sandy worked in labor and delivery at Alexandria Hospital. Her love for babies and appreciation for expectant mothers led her to become certified in prenatal and perinatal massage through Nurturing the Mother, a certification course taught by Claire Marie Miller, RMT. Sandy is a prenatal massage specialist and also works with postnatal clients as well as their family members.
Sandy is also certified in Therapeutic Touch, Hot Stone Therapy, and she is a third degree Reiki Master and practices Usui Shiki Ryoho Reiki.
Rebecca
Rebecca is a Certified Massage Therapist in Washington DC (license no. MT1364). She graduated from the Heritage Institute where she received her massage certification in 2003. She is licensed in both Washington, DC and Virginia.
Rebecca has been practicing for her continuing education hours and specializes in prenatal massage and postntal massage, sports massage, deep tissue, hot stone, and swedish massage. Rebecca combines long smooth strokes with trigger point and compression to deliver a massage that is both relaxing and therapeutic.
Missy
Missy is a former Nationally Certified Massage Therapist in Washington DC. She is a graduate of the Potomac Massage Training Institute where she studied deep tissue and Swedish massage techniques.
Missy is also certified in prenatal and postnatal massage through Kate Jordan’s Bodywork for the Childbearing Years. Missy has completed her training to become a certified infant massage instructor through the International Institute of Infant Massage. In addition, she has received training to work with women coping with breast cancer.
Lauren P
Lauren P is Nationally Certified in Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork, is licensed in Washington, DC (license no. MT0711), and is a member of the American Massage Therapy Association. She earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Music Therapy from Elizabethtown College in 2000 and graduated from the Potomac Massage Training Institute’s (PMTI) intensive 630 hour program in 2005. She has been practicing massage full time since earning her certificate. In addition to providing massage at Spa on the Hill, Lauren also serves on the teaching faculty at PMTI.
While Lauren considers deep tissue massage her specialty, she also has extensive training in Swedish massage; is certified in prenatal massage and postnatal massage through Kate Jordan seminars; practices Hot Stone Massage; and is a Level 2 Reiki Practitioner. Lauren has also studied Thai massage and is planning a trip to Bangkok, Thailand to expand her knowledge and practice of the work. Her intention as a massage therapist is to facilitate awareness, to promote balance, and to optimize health. This is accomplished using a unique blend of clinical, therapeutic work and gentle, subtle techniques that promote deep relaxation. Each session with Lauren is tailored specifically to your needs.
Amanda
Amanda is a Certified Massage Therapist in Washington DC (license no. MT0721). She earned her Bachelor degree in Humanities and Spanish language at the University of Colorado, Boulder in 1992. Amanda then went on to graduate in 1997 from the Advanced Fuller School of Massage Therapy in Virginia Beach, Va, where she completed a 550 hour program.
Prior to beginning her full time work in therapeutic massage, Amanda served in Americorps VISTA and overseas in the U.S. Peace Corps for 3 years.
In the Metropolitan D.C. area, Amanda has worked in a variety of clinical settings as a licensed massage therapist including Chiropractic, Osteopathic, and Physical Therapy offices. This has provided her with invaluable exposure to a wide range of pain and soft tissue injuries. Her massage sessions offer an eclectic combination of modalities. She uses John Barnes' Myofascial Release work as the starting point, then intersperses the session with relaxation and deep tissue massage strokes, soft tissue mobilization techniques, therapeutic stretch, and if necessary, exercises.
Sioux
Sioux is a Nationally Certified Massage Therapist in Washington DC (license no. MT0396). She has been practicing massage for over 17 years both in the USA and internationally (Australia, France, Italy, Spain, UK, Thailand, India). Sioux obtained a Diploma of Remedial Massage from Massage Schools of Queensland, Australia and has continued studying and practicing ever since.
With over 2000 hours of formal training in massage and more than 8,000 hours of hands on treatment experience, she draws on techniques from many traditions when putting together a treatment plan especially for each client, depending on their needs and issues. A treatment with Sioux may include reflexology, orthopedic testing/functional assessment, therapeutic (deep tissue), trigger point work, thai, shiatsu, relaxation (Swedish), aroma therapy, or reiki to bring about a true sense of well being and rehabilitation from injury or just life's everyday stress and tension.
Sioux has 300+ hours of Traditional Thai Massage & Herbal Medicine study which has led to her specializing in and teaching Traditional Thai Massage, which is a blend of compression, trigger point work, joint mobilization and stretching. Thai massage is sometimes referred to as "lazy man's yoga" for its deep stretching aspects and it is amazing for increasing flexibility. It complements perfectly with a regular workout routine.

Silvia is a Nationally Certified Massage Therapist in Washington DC (license no. MT1106). She is a graduate of Educating Hands School of Massage in Miami, FL, where she completed an intensive 500 hour massage therapy program.
Silvia is a caring therapist that customizes treatments for each person, using her extensive training and 17 yeas of experience in the field of massage therapy and pain management. She combines deep tissue therapies such as trigger point and acupressure techniques with light touch and energy work. Her treatments promote emotion relief, well being, and deeper relaxation.
Silvia also incorporates reflexology, stretching, reiki, lymphatic draining, myofcial release, and joint mobilization to address your specific needs.
Arnetta
Arnetta is licensed by the District of Columbia as a Cosmetologist (License no. COP5005584). Originally from Las Vegas, Nevada, Arnetta obtained her Diploma of Cosmetology from the Academy of Hair Design-Las Vegas by completing an 1800 hour course. Prior to that, she began her college career majoring in Registered Nursing at The College of Southern Nevada.
Armed with both personality and a gentle touch, Arnetta is well known for specializing in esthetics, including a variety of waxing services, especially Brazilians. Clients no longer have to worry about hygiene or pain while waxing. Her effective facials and overall skin care expertise have clients raving for more!
